Online Encore Presentation: Mara Levine/Gathering Time co-bill at the Philadelphia Folksong Society

The Philadelphia Folksong Society will stream the video of the co-bill concert we did last year supporting Mara in her set, then playing a set of our own featuring many originals and some select folk-rock covers.

This was the Philadelphia release concert for Mara's CD 'Facets of Folk,' which went on to be #1 for the month on Folk DJ-List, and #3 for the year!

Click on https://pfs.org/digitalvenue in advance to register (various donation levels). You will be emailed a link to a private Facebook Group to watch the concert; go to that page, then click to 'join' the group. On Sunday at 4:00 PM Eastern to watch the show.

If you can't make it at the 4:00 PM streaming time, that link will also allow you access to watch it at your convenience any time after the original stream!

Donation amount varies from $5 to $50 -- it's your choice

Mt Toby Concerts

Quaker Meeting House, 194 Long Plain Road (Route 63), Leverett MA 01054

Co-bill with Mara Levine.

Mt. Toby Concerts are presented by the Peace and Social Concerns Committee of the Mt. Toby Friends Meeting. We present monthly concerts, featuring singer-songwriters of music for social change, in service of the committee’s mission of working for social, economic and environmental justice.

Music for social change has the double advantage of addressing social justice issues on both the intellectual and emotional planes. It can stimulate, encourage, rally, console and educate, whether the topic of a song be about the past or present. Most encouraging are songs of hope for a peaceful future. We aim to do that through our music series.

Suggested donations range between $10 to $25. Please be generous in supporting our performers.

WinterFolk

Samanea New York, 1504 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY 11590

GT's 'Winterfolk,' presented by the East Meadow Public Library in the Art Gallery on the second floor of Samanea New York (the former Source Mall).

Everyone complains about the winter weather, so why not sing about it? A decided departure from the usual holiday fare served up by radio stations and retail stores (and therefore seasonally appropriate through January and February), Gathering Time's WinterFolk show features songs of and about the snowy season by such luminary songwriters as Paul Simon, Gordon Lightfoot, and Joni Mitchell as well as contemporary songwriters, plus traditional and original songs.

Reservations online at www.eastmeadow.info, or call the Public Relations office at 794-2570, ext. 560.
